Casto Family

HISTORY

Our story began in 1996, in a small shop tucked behind a family home in Hendersonville, North Carolina. With little more than hand tools and a deep passion for woodworking, Dan Casto began crafting cabinetry built to last. What started as a personal pursuit soon became a family endeavor—one grounded in craftsmanship, honesty, and a respect for both people and materials.

Over the years, Dan’s dedication and artistry laid a foundation that shaped not only a business, but a family tradition. His three sons grew up in the shop, learning the value of hard work, attention to detail, and pride in doing things the right way. Together, the family helped grow from those humble beginnings into a respected name in custom cabinetry.

In 2007, a new generation stepped forward to continue that legacy, bringing with it a renewed focus on quality, technology, and design innovation. Guided by the same principles that started it all, the company has continued to evolve—most recently with the opening of a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and the launch of expanded product lines under the Carolina Artisan Tailored Cabinetry brand.

Today, our team of skilled craftsmen, designers, and engineers continues to blend time-honored woodworking traditions with modern precision and creativity. Each piece we build reflects our shared belief that cabinetry is not just a product, but a reflection of the care and intention that goes into it.

As we look ahead, we remain rooted in the same values that shaped us from the start: family, craftsmanship, and integrity. Every project we create is built to honor our past and shape our future—one cabinet at a time.

CUSTOM INSET

Monte Vista Cabinet Construction

Rooted in traditional American craftsmanship, face-frame cabinetry represents the timeless standard of fine furniture building. Each cabinet begins with a solid hardwood frame that is carefully joined to the front of the box, providing strength, stability, and enduring beauty. This frame creates distinct door reveals and classic proportions that convey a sense of depth and refinement. The result is a cabinet that feels substantial and tailored —a hallmark of custom woodworking. Our face frame construction combines old-world precision with modern joinery techniques, ensuring every cabinet stands the test of time both structurally and stylistically.

Crestora Cabinetry Construction

The Valerion line shares the same precision-built, frameless construction and high-quality materials as our Crestora series —sleek, modern, and full-access by design. Each cabinet is engineered with the same attention to detail, ensuring lasting strength and refined performance. However, Valerion was developed with a more focused offering of wood species, finishes, door styles, and limited modifications, allowing us to streamline production without compromising craftsmanship.
